ScholarChain
Decentralized Open-Access Platform
ScholarChain is a Decentralized Open-Access Publication Platform built on decentralized and distributed technologies of blockchain and IPFS file sharing systems.
The ownerships of the published papers, reviews, and comments on the papers, belong to the authors, readers and reviewers.
With distributed editing, all authors can be editors as well.
On ScholarChain, key stakeholders are incentivized to participate in a meaningful and substantive manner by earning credits and rewards through self-motivated interactions.
ScholarChain makes use of blockchain technology to set up an incentive scheme to encourage participations by authors, readers and reviewers.
Anyone who has an authorized ScholarChain account has the right to publish and comment on any paper in the system.
ScholarChain provides a publicly decentralized environment in which a seamless scientific discussion can take place between accredited members of the research community
All files are hosted on the InterPlanetary File System with public HTTP gateways and everyone is welcome to mirror them. The files stay retrievable through any IPFS by the address saved in the blockchain.

Web of Open Science
Web of Open Science (WOOS) is a publishing house founded on the paradigm of Open Science, the main tasks of which are open access, sharing and promotion of science and research, transparency in peer review, open approach to science assessment, public control over the quality of scientific publications, development of interdisciplinary studies, raising the citation. We are constantly looking for innovative ways to open up scientific communication—to make it faster, more efficient, more connected and more useful than ever before.
Publish and Evaluate with ScholarChain, an innovative platform for open scientific publication and interactive assessment that uses AI technology and Blockchain
All articles published in WOOS journals can be linked from external sources, scanned by search engines, re-used by text mining applications or websites, blogs, etc. free of charge under the sole condition of proper accreditation of the source and original publisher.
WOOS publish high quality, rigorously peer-reviewed Open Access (OA) research across all disciplines. Publishing OA in a WOOS means researchers benefit from:
-
Check A wide choice of journals to publish in; - Rapid online publication;
- Rigorous peer review;
- Expert editorial boards;
- Creative Commons licensing options;
- Article metrics
Format-Free Submission
When you publish with us you can upload your research in any standard format, including Word, rich text format (rtf), open document format (odt).
We work to increase the openness and accessibility of your research and make the publishing process as simple as possible.
Web of Open Science has an open and progressive approach to research at all stages of the research process.
- We are committed to publishing all research that is sound and valid, including negative research and replication studies.
- The aim is to open up more opportunities and aid accessibility for all readers.
- All WOOS articles include a Public Interest Statement to help readers easily understand and engage with research.

Meet our AI assistent editor
Our AI engine constantly surfs the web to gather, regroup, categorize, tag and rank science data from all major science data sources.
It computes relationships between science articles and data found on the web using a vector space model and hierarchical clustering.
It then automatically determines in which category each data item belongs using a Naive Bayes classifier.
Finally, it examines multiple parameters for each data group.
The result is an score which represents the relative importance of a data item.
The AI engine leverages the power of deep neural networks trained from the ground up on academic content that deliver unparalleled precision.
Augmenting the AI engine are expert-crafted algorithms that ensure explainability.
Backed by editorial expertise, this hybrid design delivers unmatched performance.

and AI Editing ensures efficiencies across
the editorial workflow.

AI Implementation ConsultantBlockchain
Data volumes continue to grow exponentially and soon the centralized cloud architecture will not be able to cope. ScholarChain uses blockchain to record document metadata, operation commands sent from nodes, and to provide consensus on the order of operations. ScholarChain uses its own directed acylcic graph based distributed ledger technology (DLT) that offers a better solution than other blockchain approaches which suffer from certain security vulnerabilities and other systemic weaknesses.
Virtual Machine
Above the blockchain layer is the virtual machine. ScholarChain uses the virtual machine to define new operations without changing the underlying blockchain system. A virtual machine uses document and command metadata for blockchain operations and performs these operations appropriately. ScholarChain uses the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM).
Routing
Above the virtual machine is the routing layer. The main function of this layer is to allow a virtual machine to retrieve document addresses in storage. ScholarChain split requests to retrieve documents from storage actions. ScholarChain uses Distributed Hashtag (DHT) to store routing files, a subset of publishing nodes, blockchain network nodes, IPFS storage nodes. When a virtual machine sends a resolution request to an address to the routing layer, the article is searched for by the hash value sent by the virtual machine. The address of the storage sites is then obtained
Storage
The highest level of ScholarChain is the storage layer that uses the actual document data. Each document is signed by the owner's private key. Because documents are stored outside the blockchain, ScholarChain can support the storage of documents of any size and different storage methods can be used. Multiple forms of data storage can be applied to the storage layer. The decentralized storage system for IPFS is always on to provide access to documents

Accreditation and Rating
The accreditation of scientists needs to be reliable and as transparent as privacy protection allows.
Email from university/company account
PGP signed message from known public key
Personal key exchange with ScholarChain affiliates
Their public posting key is openly linked with details of their accreditation, and from then on, their content will not be filtered on ScholarChain any more.
ScholarChain will also verify the proofs for the ranking where necessary. Proofs can for example be made by institutional or corporate websites in combination with email addresses, or copies of documents and publications.
The algorithms for the rankings, and how each different factor like titles, impact points, community ranking, publications, reviews and self-proclaimed expertise is weighted, will be transparently developed by a scientific advisory board.
The data is public, so other algorithms can be used for different kinds of weightings.
We'll also review every interaction with your bot and ensure it's providing answers directly sourced from your website. We'll even provide you with an full audit trail so you can double-check our work.
Web of Open Science
aims to develop and deploy automated tools to assign "confidence scores" to different research results and claims.
Confidence scores measure
the degree to which a particular claim or result is likely to be reproducible or replicable
and WOOS aims for reliability
equal to, or better than, the best current human expert methods.
